Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

StreamScope is operated by Wellspring Ventures, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. We collect only what we need to run the app and the website, and we never sell your data.

1. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and password. Our login provider, Supabase, stores the password securely; we never see it.
  • Your streaming services: the ones you choose, so we show their charts.
  • My Stuff: the titles you save, and titles you mark “Not for me”.
  • Recommendations: if you turn on Recommended for me, the picks we make for you and your agreement to the AI notice (section 3).
  • Notifications: if you allow them in the iPhone app, a push token and your notification choices, so we can send the notifications you choose in Settings: the Top 10 (weekly or daily) and, with Pro, alerts when a saved title is leaving or arriving on your services.
  • Usage analytics: how you use the app, such as which features you open and which titles you save. This is linked to a device identifier and, if you're signed in, your account ID.
  • Crash reports: when something breaks, a diagnostic report through Sentry. It can include your account ID so we can fix the problem. We remove your email address and IP address.
  • Newsletter: if you leave your email on our website, we keep that address.
  • Subscriptions: RevenueCat tells us whether your Pro subscription is active. Apple handles payment on iPhone; on our website, Stripe handles it through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.

2. What we don't collect

What you watch on any streaming service. Your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. We don't show ads or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Recommended for me (AI)

This feature uses an AI service run by TypeSafe. Only if you agree, we send the titles in your My Stuff, with public facts about them from Wikipedia and Wikidata. We never send your name, email or account details. To stop, email us and we'll turn it off and delete your picks.

4. How we use it

  • Show charts and titles for your services.
  • Keep My Stuff and your settings in sync across your devices.
  • Make your picks, only if you agree.
  • Send the notifications you turned on.
  • Run your account and subscription.
  • Fix problems and improve StreamScope.

5. Who we share it with

Only the services that run StreamScope, and only what each one needs:

  • Supabase: accounts and database.
  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • RevenueCat, Stripe and Apple: subscriptions and payments.
  • TypeSafe: Recommended for me, only if you agree.
  • Sentry: crash reports.
  • Expo: push notifications.
  • ImprovMX: forwards the email you send us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Some public data sources receive no personal data from you:

  • TMDB: posters and details. StreamScope uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
  • FlixPatrol: Top 10 charts.
  • Movie of the Night: where titles stream.
  • Wikipedia and Wikidata: facts about titles.

6. How long we keep it

  • Your account, services, My Stuff and picks: while your account exists. Deleting your account deletes them.
  • Usage analytics: kept, but no longer linked to you after you delete your account.
  • Crash reports: about 90 days.
  • Newsletter address: until you ask us to remove it, or you delete your account.
  • Purchase records: Apple, Stripe and RevenueCat keep their own, as the law requires.

7. Security

Data travels encrypted, and our database provider encrypts it at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Children

StreamScope isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

  • You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
  • You can delete your account in Settings → Delete account, in the app or on the website, or by email. Deletion is immediate and permanent. See Delete Your Account.
  • You can stop AI picks by emailing us, and turn notifications off in Settings.
  • California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We respond within 45 days.

10. Streaming services

StreamScope isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Max, Prime Video, Paramount+, Apple TV or Peacock. Their names and logos belong to their owners.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
